BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 13. The value of carpet exports from Türkiye to Azerbaijan decreased from January through June 2022, Turkish Ministry of Trade told TurkicWorld, Trend reports.
According to the ministry, this figure amounted to $3.4 million, down by 0.4 percent on annual basis.
Türkiye exported carpets worth $491,000 to Azerbaijan in June this year, which is 4.8 percent less than in the same month of 2021, the ministry said.
The total value of carpet exports from Türkiye abroad decreased by 16.1 percent from January through June 2022 compared to the same period last year and equaled $1.4 billion.
In June 2022, Türkiye exported carpets in the amount of $226 million to international markets, down by 24 percent in annual terms.
Over the past year (from June 2021 through June 2022), the country exported carpets worth $2.9 billion.
