BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 14. Türkiye increased the export of carpets to Iran by 104.3 percent in first half 2022 (up to $9 million) compared to the same period last year, Trade Ministry of Türkiye told TurkicWorld, Trend reports.
Turkish carpet exports to Iran reached $2 million in June 2022.
The export of Turkish carpets in total decreased by 16.1 percent from January through June 2022 compared to the same period last year and amounted to $1.4 billion.
Türkiye exported $226 million worth of carpets in June this year, which is 24 percent less than in June last year.
Türkiye has exported $2.9 billion worth of carpets during the past 12 months (from June 2021 through June 2022).
