BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 27. Banks and credit organizations of Azerbaijani Nakhchivan issued loans to legal entities and individuals in the amount of over 141.2 million manat ($83.05 million) from January through June 2022, Trend reports referring to the report of Nakhchivan’s State Statistics Committee.
According to committee, this figure is 31.1 percent more than in first half of 2021.
About 12.1 million manat ($7.1 million) or 8.6 percent of the total volume of loans accounted for short-term loans in the specified period, and 129.07 million manat ($75.9 million) or 91.4 percent - for long-term loans.
GDP of Nakhchivan increased by 2.2 percent in first half of 2022 compared to the same period in 2021.
According to committee, Nakhchivan's GDP exceeded 1.3 billion manat ($764.7 million) in the reporting period.
GDP per capita in Nakhchivan amounted to 2,942.8 manat ($1,731) in the reporting period, which is 2.3 percent more than in first half 2021.
