BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 17. Azerbaijan’s export value from January through July 2022 amounted to over $22.5 billion, which is an increase of 98 percent, compared to the same period of 2021 ($11.3 billion), Trend reports, citing the State Customs Committee (SCC) of Azerbaijan.

According to the committee, the share of the public sector in the total export amounted to over $9.9 billion (44 percent of the total value). This figure increased by 77.7 percent year-on-year ($5.5 billion over the same period of 2021).

The share of the private sector in Azerbaijani export over the reporting period of 2022, has increased by 118.7 percent year-on-year ($5.7 billion in 7 months of 2021), totaling $12.5 billion, which also accounts for 55.5 percent of the total export value.

Over $93.8 million of the total Azerbaijani export in the reporting period of 2021 fell on individuals (0.64-percent share) - an increase of 28.8 percent year-on-year ($72.8 million).

In total, Azerbaijan exported 7,302 and imported 2,975 units of goods, having carried out foreign trade operations with 170 partner countries.

Meanwhile, Azerbaijan's foreign trade turnover from January through July 2022 grew by 69.91 percent ($12.3 billion), compared to the same period last year – from $17.6 billion to over $30 billion.
