BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 19. Almost 13,000 heads of small cattle have been exported from Russia to Azerbaijan since early 2022, Trend reports via the Russian Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance (Rosselkhoznadzor).
According to the service, the livestock breeders of Azerbaijan have significantly increased the import of cattle (almost 1,500 heads) from Russia.
Rosselkhoznadzor also added that it would continue to work to diversify the export flows of live animals from Russia.
According to the State Customs Committee of Azerbaijan, from January through July 2022, the trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Russia exceeded $1.8 billion, while this figure in the same period last year amounted to $1.5 billion (an increase of 20.86 percent over the year).
