BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 1. The number of companies with Iranian capital grew in Türkiye from January through September 2022, the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB) told TurkicWorld, Trend reports on November 1.
According to the TOBB, this figure amounted to 1,003, up by 374 companies on annual basis.
Along with the number of registered Iranian companies, their total capital also grew in the first nine months of this year, the TOBB said.
“In the reporting period, the total capital of registered Iranian companies in Türkiye amounted to 364.4 million Turkish liras ($19.57 million), while in the same period of 2021 this figure was 145.9 million Turkish liras ($7.84 million),” the TOBB noted.
Meanwhile, most of the Iranian companies (861) with a total capital of over 389.9 million Turkish liras ($20.94 million) were registered in Istanbul.
Out of the total number of Iranian companies registered from January through September 2022, 356 companies were involved in wholesale and retail trade, 83 - in export, and the remaining companies operated in other sectors of the Turkish economy, said the TOBB.
