BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 18. The Azerbaijan Fashion Retail Association (AFRA) plans to increase the number of AFRA participants as well as the number of brands operating in Azerbaijan, the Head of AFRA, Farid Novruzi, told Trend.
Currently, a total of 30 importers with 227 shops representing 89 brands are part of the Association.
Novruzi noted that the AFRA, which started its activity at the beginning of this year, plans to maintain the organization of communication between the representatives of the sector and relevant public institutions in order to solve the main issues. Among those issues are the questions on the development of the textile industry, electronic commerce, and receiving special privileges.
"We continue to work with our colleagues in order to facilitate the conditions for the importers. We hope that the undertaken measures will form a quality fashion industry in Azerbaijan, which will be one of the advanced sectors of the country's economy, attract foreign investors, and contribute to the further growth of the revenues to the state budget as well as that of the cashless payment system," he said.
