BAKU, Azerbaijan, January 16. Anglo Asian Mining PLC produced 57,618 gold equivalent ounces in Azerbaijan at the end of 2022, the company told Trend.
A total of 14,532 GEOs were mined in the fourth quarter alone.
"Significant progress has been made at the Zafar field of Gadabay district, mine design has been finalized, ancillary equipment has been ordered. Precious metal mining continues in full swing at the Gilar and Kharkhar fields," the company said.
The company noted that a dividend of $4.6 million is expected to be paid for the fourth quarter.
"It is planned to allocate $500,000 regarding the exploitation of the Zafar deposit. Meanwhile, we invested $289,000 in Libero Copper & Gold Corporation and our stake in this company amounted to 19.8 percent at the end of 2022," the statement added.
