BAKU, Azerbaijan, January 17. The volume of investments in Azerbaijan's fixed capital grew in 2022, Trend reports via the State Statistics Committee of Azerbaijan.

According to the committee, this figure amounted to 18.2 billion manat ($10.7 billion) which is 5.5 percent more than in 2021.

Investments in the oil and gas industry in Azerbaijan decreased by 9.8 percent in 2022, compared to the same period in 2021, and in the non-oil sector - increased by 13.6 percent.

Meanwhile, 10.6 billion manat ($6.2 billion), or 58.1 percent of investments in fixed capital, fell on the production sector, 6.7 billion manat ($3.9 billion) or 36.9 percent - services, and 925.4 million manat ($544.3 million) or 5 percent - on the construction of residential buildings.

A total of 14.7 billion manat ($8.6 billion) or 80.6 percent of the funds allocated to fixed capital were internal funds.

Besides, 13.4 billion manat ($7.8 billion) or 73.7 percent of the funds allocated to fixed capital were spent on construction and installation work in the reporting period.

In the total volume of funds directed to fixed capital, funds of enterprises and organizations made up 49.3 percent, budget funds – 36.4 percent, other funds – 5 percent, personal funds of the population - 6.7 percent, and bank loans – 2.6 percent.
