BAKU, Azerbaijan, February 9. The average nominal wage of hired workers in Baku increased by 13.8 percent from January through November 2022 compared to the same period in 2021, totaling 1,067 manat ($627.6), Trend reports the Baku City Statistics Department.
According to the State Statistics Committee of Azerbaijan, the average nominal wage of hired workers in Azerbaijan increased by 14.6 percent from January through November 2022 compared to the same period in 2021 and reached 829.9 manat ($488.1).
The value of Baku's trade turnover increased by 5 percent and totaled 30.81 billion manat ($18.1 billion) in 2022 compared to 2021. Sales of foodstuffs, drinks, and tobacco products in Baku during the accounting period rose by 16.9 percent compared to 2021, up to 18.6 billion manat ($10.9 billion).
