BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 30. The turnover of mutual tourist services in Azerbaijan has doubled by the end of 2022 compared to 2021, amounting to $1.7 billion, Trend reports via the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA).
According to the CBA, in the reporting period, the import of tourist services ($892 million) exceeded their exports ($823 million), resulting in a deficit of $69 million.
Given the results of the first half of 2022, the turnover of mutual tourist services in Azerbaijan increased 2.9 times year on year, amounting to $739 million.
Moreover, in 2022, Azerbaijan's total balance of payments amounted to $9 billion, which is 3.1 times higher than the same indicator of the year before last.
