BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 12. Russian enterprises of the Stavropol Krai (Stavropol Territory) exported goods worth over $219 million to Azerbaijan in 2022, Denis Lyububin, Minister of Economic Development of the Stavropol Territory, said during an online meeting "Hour with the Trade Representative" of entrepreneurs of the Stavropol Territory with Ruslan Mirsayapov, Russian trade representative in Azerbaijan,Trend reports.

"Azerbaijan is a long-standing economic partner of our region. We exported goods worth over $219 million to the country In 2022. The basis of exports is products of the agro-industrial complex and food processing industry," Lyububin said.

Moreover, representatives of 34 regional companies participated in the online meeting "Hour with the Trade Representative".

At the same time, Azerbaijan's foreign trade turnover grew by 55.36 percent to $18.7 billion last year compared to 2021 - from $33.9 billion to $52.6 billion.

In the structure of foreign trade turnover, exports accounted for $38.1 billion, which is $15.9 billion, or 71.8 percent higher than in 2021. The share of exports in foreign trade turnover was 72.4 percent compared to 65.48 percent a year before.

Meanwhile, Azerbaijan's imports in the reporting period grew by $2.8 billion year-on-year, or 24.21 percent increasing from $11.7 billion to $14.5 billion, while the share of imports in foreign trade turnover was 27.6 percent compared to 34.52 percent a year earlier.
