BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 20. The number of passengers arriving at Trabzon International Airport in Türkiye amounted to 547,684 people with an increase of 2 percent in March 2023, the Turkish Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure of Türkiye told TurkicWorld, Trend reports.
According to the ministry, in the reporting period, the airport's passenger traffic on domestic flights decreased by 1 percent and amounted to 511,061 people, while on international flights it increased by 71 percent, amounting to 36,623 people.
Furthermore, the airport's cargo turnover in the specified period decreased by 2 percent compared to the same period in 2022 and amounted to 4,584 tons. The airport's cargo turnover on domestic flights in the third month of the current year decreased by 8 percent year-on-year and amounted to 3,856 tons, while on international flights it grew by 45 percent compared to the same period, reaching 727 tons.
As the ministry noted, the number of airport flights in the mentioned period rose by 14 percent year-on-year and amounted to 4,536. At the same time, the number of flights on domestic flights grew by 10 percent and amounted to 3,923, while on international flights - by 43 percent, amounting to 613.
Moreover, passenger traffic at all airports in Türkiye, in the reporting period, amounted to about 38.9 million people, while cargo turnover reached 833,949 tons.
Meanwhile, in 2022, passenger traffic at all airports in the country reached 181.9 million people, while cargo turnover totaled 4 million tons.
