BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 28. Goshgar Tahmazli, Chairman of the Food Safety Agency held a telephone conversation with Head Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance (Rosselkhoznadzor) Sergey Dankvert, Trend reports via the Rosselkhoznadzor.

During the conversation, the two sides noted that commercial relations between the countries are steadily developing.

"This year Russia has increased supplies of live animals, poultry meat, potatoes, wheat flour and wheat to Azerbaijan. The country continues to be one of the leading exporters of vegetables and fruits to Russia. In order to ensure uninterrupted supplies of plant products to Russia, the possibility of optimizing quarantine phytosanitary control on the territory of Azerbaijan's Khudat transport and logistics hub is being worked out," the Rosselkhoznadzor said.

"The procedure for conducting inspections of Russian companies interested in trade with Azerbaijan was discussed," the source says.
