BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 18. Türkiye’s Ambarli port received 1,381 vessels from January through April 2023, the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure of Türkiye told TurkicWorld, Trend reports.
According to the ministry, the Ambarli port received 501 vessels under the flag of Türkiye and 880 vessels under the flags of other countries during the period from January through April 2023.
Turkish ports amounted to 33.6 million tons of cargo in April 2023.
During the specified period, cargo transportation by vessels under the flag of Türkiye through domestic ports amounted to 2.3 million tons.
Cargo transportation through the ports of Türkiye by vessels under the flags of other countries amounted to 31.2 million tons.
Moreover, Turkish ports handled 5.1 million tons of transit cargo in April 2023.
The ports of Türkiye amounted to 125.2 million tons of cargo from January through April 2023.
During this period, cargo transportation by ships under the flag of Türkiye amounted to 8.8 million tons. Cargo transportation through the ports of Türkiye by ships under the flags of other countries amounted to 116.3 million tons.
Turkish ports handled 23.4 million tons of transit cargo from January through April 2023.
