BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 22. The average monthly nominal wage of employees from January through March 2023 increased by 11.4 percent compared to the same period last year and amounted to 901.3 manat ($530.1) in Azerbaijan, the State Statistics Committee (SSC) of Azerbaijan told Trend.
The wages in the oil and gas sector amounted to 3,878 manat ($2,281), while in the non-oil and gas sector - 843.8 manat ($496.3). The wages of employees of state-owned enterprises amounted to 855.7 manat ($503.3), and private enterprises - 952.5 manat ($560.2).
According to the SSC, the highest wage is recorded among workers in the mining sector, insurance and finance, information, communications, as well as in the field of scientific and technical activities.
