BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 25. The number of companies with Iranian capital grew in Türkiye from January through April 2023, Trend reports.
According to the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB), this figure amounted to 302, up by 92 companies on an annual basis.
Along with the number of registered Iranian companies, their total capital also grew in the first four months of this year, the TOBB said.
“In the reporting period, the total capital of registered Iranian companies in Türkiye amounted to 176.6 million Turkish liras ($8.87 million), while in the same period of 2022, this figure was 166.3 million Turkish liras ($8.35 million),” the TOBB noted.
Meanwhile, most of the Iranian companies (232) with a total capital of 144.2 million Turkish liras ($7.2 million) were registered in Istanbul.
Out of the total number of Iranian companies registered from January through April 2023, 141 companies were involved in wholesale and retail trade, 83 - in export, and the remaining companies operating in other sectors of the Turkish economy.
