BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 27. A total of 4.5 million tons of cargo were transported from Ukraine to the Turkish ports from January through May 2023, Trend reports.
According to the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure of Türkiye, vessels under the Turkish flag delivered 260,878 tons of cargo from Ukraine to the ports of Türkiye, while vessels under the flags of other countries - 4.1 million tons, meanwhile, vessels under the Ukrainian flag delivered 117,182 tons of cargo to the ports of Türkiye, during the reporting period.
As many as 51,106 tons of transit cargo were transported from Ukraine to Turkish ports from January through May 2023.
Moreover, the Turkish ports received 35.4 million tons of cargo in May 2023.
During this period, cargo traffic to domestic ports on ships under the Turkish flag amounted to 2.5 million tons. Cargo transportation of ships under the flags of other countries to the ports of Türkiye amounted to 32.9 million.

According to the ministry, the Turkish ports received 160.7 million tons of cargo from January through May 2023.
Cargo acceptance by vessels under the Turkish flag amounted to 11.4 million tons from January through May 2023. And by ships under the flags of other countries, cargo transportation to the Turkish ports amounted to 149.3 million tons.
Meanwhile, 28.9 million tons of transit cargo were transported from the ports of Türkiye from January through May 2023.
