Azerbaijan imparts GDP data from January through June 2023

BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 14. Azerbaijan's GDP increased by 0.5 percent up to 60.3 billion manat ($35.4 billion) from January through June 2023 compared to the same period in 2022, Trend reports.

According to the State Statistics Committee of Azerbaijan, added value in the non-oil sector increased by 3.1 percent, while in the oil and gas sector it decreased by 2.1 percent during the reporting period of 2023 compared to the same period in 2022.

The share of industry during the specified period was 43.7 percent in the structure of GDP.

According to the State Statistics Committee, a total of 9.2 percent of GDP accounted for trade and repair of vehicles, 5.9 percent - for transport and warehousing, 4.7 percent - for construction, 5.6 percent - for agriculture, forestry and fish farming, 2.3 percent - for the tourism sector, 1.6 percent - for information and communications.

As many as 17.7 percent of GDP accounted for other sectors of the economy.

Net income from the import tax during the reporting period amounted to 9.3 percent of GDP.

GDP per capita in Azerbaijan amounted to 5,946 manat ($3,497) from January through June 2023.

Meanwhile, Azerbaijan's GDP increased by 4.6 percent to 133.8 billion manat ($78.7 billion) in 2022 compared to 2021.
