BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 14. The Turkish "Rayess" chocolate factory will be opened in Azerbaijan's Guba city by the end of August 2023, the Chairman of the Board of the Azerbaijan Franchising Association (AFA) Jamid Movsumov told Trend.
According to him, all the necessary equipment for starting production, as well as raw materials, have already been delivered to the country.
"The opening of this factory will take place in partnership with ABAD [Simplified Support to Family Businesses public legal entity]. We have already invested $500,000 in the project to purchase the necessary equipment and related raw materials," Movsumov said. "We plan to invest another 500,000 manat ($294,120) in opening shops and cafeterias in Baku. In the future, we plan to invest an additional $10 million in expanding this factory."
He noted that the factory's area will be 1,000 square meters, and the products produced will be sold both in local and international markets.
"Rayess" also plans to open a logistics company in Azerbaijan, which will be transporting goods to Europe and other countries, and to invest $5 million in this project. These funds will be used for purchasing freight vehicles and building other necessary infrastructure," he added.
AFA is the first organization established to promote, protect and collect franchising news in Azerbaijan.
The organization assists in starting a business to foreign franchising enterprises and entrepreneurs interested in franchising.
