BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 18. The trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Kyrgyzstan amounted to $21.6 million (almost 0.57 percent of the total Azerbaijani foreign trade turnover with the CIS countries) from January through July 2023, the State Customs Committee of Azerbaijan said, Trend reports.
The trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Kyrgyzstan increased by 4.85 times ($4.5 million) from January through July 2023 year-on-year.
In addition, the share of Kyrgyzstan in the total trade turnover of Azerbaijan amounted to almost 0.07 percent in the reporting period of 2023.
Exports from Azerbaijan to Kyrgyzstan amounted to $19.4 million from January through July 2023, which is 18.59 times more than in the same period of 2022 ($1.045 million).
Moreover, exports to Azerbaijan amounted to $2.2 million in the reporting period of 2023, which is 35.47 percent less than in the same period of 2022 ($3.4 million).
Azerbaijan's foreign trade turnover increased by 0.91 percent ($274.5 million) from January through July 2023 compared to the same period in 2022 - from $30.1 billion to $30.3 billion.
According to the State Customs Committee of the Republic of Azerbaijan, exports accounted for $20.8 billion in the structure of foreign trade turnover, which is $1.8 billion (7.92 percent) less than the same period last year. The share of exports in foreign trade turnover was 68.5 percent, and 75.07 percent last year.
In general, during the reporting period, the balance of foreign trade turnover decreased year-on-year by more than $3.9 billion, or 25.55 percent ($11.2 billion) against $15.1 billion in the reporting period of 2022.
