BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 21. Russia transported 57 million tons of cargo to Turkish ports from January through July 2023, Trend reports, referring to the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure of Türkiye.
Turkish-flagged vessels delivered 3 million tons of cargo from Russia to domestic ports, while vessels under the flags of other countries delivered 47 million tons. At the same time, 6 million tons of cargo were delivered by Russian-flagged vessels to Turkish ports.
Russian-flagged vessels delivered 2 million tons of transit cargo to Turkish ports from January through July 2023.
Moreover, Turkish ports received 32 million tons of cargo in July 2023.
During this period, cargo traffic to Turkish ports by Turkish-flagged vessels amounted to 2 million tons, and under the flags of other countries, 30 million tons.
In addition, the Turkish ports handled 6 million tons of transit cargo in July 2023.
According to the information, Turkish ports handled 227 million tons of cargo from January through July 2023.
During this period, cargo shipments by Turkish-flagged vessels through domestic ports amounted to 16 million tons.
Cargo transportation through Turkish ports by foreign-flagged vessels amounted to 210 million tons.
Moreover, 41 million tons of transit cargo were transported from Turkish ports from January through July 2023.
