BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 30. Türkiye registered 56 companies with Uzbek capital in July 2023, which is 6 fewer companies year-on-year, informed the Union of Chambers of Commerce and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB), Trend reports.
The report notes that during July, along with the decrease in the number of registered Uzbek companies, their total capital also decreased.
"While in the reporting period the total capital of Uzbek companies registered in Türkiye amounted to 26 million liras ($979,782), for the same period in 2022 this figure amounted to 33 million liras ($1 million)," the report said.
TOBB also noted that in July 2023, the majority of Uzbek companies were registered in Istanbul (47).
"The total capital of Uzbek companies registered in Istanbul amounted to 12 million liras ($452,207)," the report said.
The company noted that 30 wholesale and retail trading companies with Uzbek capital will be registered in Türkiye in July 2023. The rest of the companies are involved in other sectors of the economy.
