BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 21. Next year, the rate of national currency will remain as stable as in the current year, as Azerbaijan's Ministry of Finance wrote in the document "Preliminary indicators of the state and consolidated budgets for 2024", Trend reports.
The document notes that strengthening coordination of fiscal and monetary policies to preserve macroeconomic stability will contribute to the national currency exchange rate remaining as stable as in the current year. In macroeconomic forecasts presented by the Ministry of Economy, the exchange rate of Azerbaijani manat to the USD for 2024–2027 is set at 1.7.
Also, a meeting of the Economic Council was held in Azerbaijan on proposed changes in acts of tax and customs legislation.
The agenda of the meeting held on September 20, 2023, included an assessment of tax and customs privileges and exemptions developed within the framework of the budget and tax policy for 2024, proposed amendments to acts of tax and customs legislation, as well as amendments to the Tax Code aimed at reducing the tax burden of business entities and stimulating entrepreneurial activity, reducing the tax burden of the population through social benefits.
