BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 13. From January through October 2023, more than 126.6 million manat ($74.5 million) were returned to consumers as part of Azerbaijan's VAT refund project., Trend reports.
The data of the State Tax Service under the Ministry of Economy of Azerbaijan shows that at the moment about 2.4 million users are registered on the "EDV geri al" portal.
To refund a certain part of VAT, the consumer (the party making the purchase or using the service) must be an individual, and the seller or the party providing the service must be a VAT payer.
In general, more than 68.4 million manat ($40.2 million) of VAT were returned to consumers for goods or services purchased by bank transfer in 2022.
