BAKU, Azerbaijan, December 25. Non-governmental enterprises accounted for 88.2 percent of the total volume of construction work performed in Baku from January through November 2023, Trend reports.
According to the Baku Municipal Statistics Department, 82.7 percent of work was on construction and reconstruction, 6.8 percent on major repairs, 7.1 percent on current repairs, and 3.4 percent on other construction work.
In 2022, non-governmental firms contributed for 90.7 percent of the building work conducted in Baku, up from 90.1 percent in 2021.
According to data from Azerbaijan's State Statistics Committee, Azerbaijan produced construction materials worth 1 billion manat ($588.2 million) in 2022, a 12.5 percent increase year on year.
In 2021, Azerbaijan produced construction materials worth 871.8 million manat ($512.8 million), an increase of 80.6 percent over the previous year.
