Eurasia to expect modest dip in oil output, EIA says

BAKU, Azerbaijan, December 26. The US Energy Information Administration (EIA) predicts that Eurasia's oil production in 2024 will be 13.63 mb/d, Trend reports.

Specifically, the region's output is anticipated to be 13.63 mb/d in the first quarter of 2024, experiencing a slight dip to 13.62 mb/d in the second quarter of 2024, further decreasing to 13.6 mb/d in the third quarter of 2024, and rebounding to 13.67 mb/d in the fourth quarter of 2024.

Russia, as the largest producer in the region, is expected to slightly decrease its liquids output from 10.75 mb/d expected in 2023 to 10.72 mb/d in 2024. In 2022, the country's oil supply stood at 10.97 mb/d, as per the EIA estimations.

Kazakhstan here ranks second among the largest producers in the region with the expected output of 1.91 mb/d in 2024 - down from 1.92 mb/d in 2023. In 2022, Kazakhstan produced some 1.83 mb/d.

Overall, Eurasia's liquids production for the whole year is forecast to decline from 13.69 mb/d estimated in 2023, and 13.84 mb/d in 2022.
