BAKU, Azerbaijan, February 21. Production of paint and varnish products in Azerbaijan in January 2024 amounted to 1,644 tons, which is 23.5 percent more than the indicator of the same period of 2023, Trend reports.
According to the State Statistics Committee of Azerbaijan, production of propylene in the reporting period amounted to 10,900 tons, which is 24.3 percent less than the indicator of the same period of 2023.

Meanwhile, Azerbaijan produced 153,100 tons of propylene, 162,800 tons of polyethylene, 165,600 tons of polyethylene, 165,600 tons of ethylene, 208,100 tons of iodine, and 21,627 million cubic meters of nitrogen in 2023.
To note, Azerbaijan produced 134,700 tons of propylene, 134,700 tons of polyethylene, 139,800 tons of polyethylene, 139,800 tons of ethylene, 194,700 tons of iodine, 5,4 million cubic meters of oxygen, 534,500 tons of methanol and 23,4 million cubic meters of nitrogen in 2022.
