BAKU, Azerbaijan, February 27. According to preliminary data, cash flows to Azerbaijan during 2023 decreased in annualized terms by 54.28 percent, Trend reports.
Based on data in the Central Bank of Azerbaijan's (CBA) monetary policy review, this figure reached the level of $1.6 billion.
Meanwhile, at the end of 2022, cash flows amounted to 3.6 billion manat ($2.1 billion).
At the same time, remittances to Azerbaijan amounted to $442.1 million in the first quarter of 2023, $447.9 million in the second quarter, $391 million in the third quarter and $374 million in the fourth quarter of 2023
The CBA report indicates that the majority of funds directed to fixed capital by foreign countries and international organizations in 2023 came from investors from the United Kingdom, Türkiye, the United States, Japan, Switzerland, Russia, France, Norway, and Iran.
To note, investments in fixed capital amounted to 20.2 billion manat ($11.8 billion) in 2023, which is 9.8 percent more than the figure of 2022.
