Cost of paid services provided to Azerbaijani population rises

BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 15. The cost of paid services rendered to the population in Azerbaijan increased by 5.3 percent from January through February 2024 compared to the same period in 2023 and amounted to 1.8 billion manat ($1 billion), Trend reports.

According to the State Statistics Committee of Azerbaijan, legal entities in Azerbaijan provided services to the population of 1.4 billion manat ($823 million) in the mentioned period, which is 75.6 percent of the total volume of services provided.

The volume of paid services per capita averaged 183.2 manat ($107.7) in the reporting period of 2024, which is 12.9 manat ($7.5) more than the figure for the same period of 2023.

Meanwhile, the value of paid services rendered to the population in Azerbaijan in 2023 increased by 14 percent compared to 2022 and amounted to 11.4 billion manat ($6.7 billion). During the mentioned period, legal entities in Azerbaijan provided services to the population of 8.6 billion manat ($5 billion), which is 75.8 percent of the total volume of services provided.

To note, the value of paid services rendered to the population in Azerbaijan in 2022 increased by eight percent compared to 2021 and amounted to 9.2 billion manat ($5.4 billion). Legal entities in Azerbaijan provided services to the population of 7 billion manat ($4.1 billion) in the mentioned period, which is 75.9 percent of the total volume of rendered services.
