BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 15. Production of foundry steel in January 2024 increased by 8.8 percent (up to 57,000 tons) compared to the same period last year, Trend reports.
The country's production of metallurgical sector products and
finished metal products increased in value terms by 24.5 percent to
197.7 million manat ($116.2 million) (158.8 million manat ($93.3
million) in the same period the previous year).

However, Azerbaijan's metallurgical sector and finished metal
product production declined in value terms by 12.57 percent to 1.1
billion manat ($682 million) in 2023 compared to 2022.
To note, Azerbaijan's production of metallurgical sector products
and finished metal products increased in value terms by 26.06
percent to 1.3 billion manat ($782 million) in 2022 compared to
2021.
