BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 21. Azerbaijan imported 10,886 tons of corn from January through February 2024, Trend reports via the country's State Customs Committee.
The cost of corn in this volume amounted to over $3 million, which is 6,775 tons (38.3 percent) less in volume than in the same period last year and $2.19 million (also 38.3 percent) less in value.
Costs for corn imports during the reporting period amounted to 0.1 percent of Azerbaijan's total import costs.
To note, Azerbaijan's food imports increased by 4.92 percent ($17.7 million) in value terms to $378.1 million from January through February this year.
