BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 2. In 2025, US liquids production, not counting processing gains, is forecasted to increase by 0.6 mb/d compared to the previous year, averaging 22 mb/d, Trend reports.
According to OPEC, this projection is based on a slight uptick in drilling activity, lower inflation in service costs, and better productivity in key shale areas.
Meanwhile, the country's crude oil and condensate output are expected to rise by 0.4 mb/d year-on-year, reaching an average of 13.6 mb/d.
Additionally, NGL production and non-conventional liquids, especially ethanol, are projected to increase by 0.2 mb/d and 20,000 b/d year-on-year, averaging 6.8 mb/d and 1.6 mb/d, respectively.
Tight crude output in 2025 is estimated to hit 9.1 mb/d, up by 0.4 mb/d year-on-year. As OPEC noted, this forecast for 2025 assumes continued financial discipline and less upward pressure on costs in the US oil industry.
