Azerbaijan boosts cost of paid services to population

BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 23. The cost of paid services rendered to the population in Azerbaijan increased by 6.3 percent from January through April 2024 compared to the same period in 2023 and amounted to 3.8 billion manat ($2.2 billion), Trend reports.

According to the State Statistics Committee of Azerbaijan, legal entities in Azerbaijan rendered services to the population of 2.8 billion manat ($1.6 billion) in the period mentioned, which is 75.5 percent of the total rendered services.

The volume of paid services per capita averaged 374.4 manat ($220.1) in the reporting period of 2024, which is 28.7 manat ($16.8) more than the figure for the same period of 2023.

To note, the cost of paid services rendered to the population in Azerbaijan in 2023 increased by 14 percent compared to 2022 and amounted to 11.4 billion manat ($6.7 billion). During the mentioned period, legal entities in Azerbaijan provided services to the population of 8.6 billion manat ($5 billion), which is 75.8 percent of the total volume of services provided.
