BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 4. Azerbaijan's Umid gas field is expected to produce 2.3 billion cubic meters of gas in 2024, a source in the country's oil and gas market said, Trend reports.
Moreover, condensate production is forecast to reach 325,100 tons.
As of May 1, 2024, total production was 9.2 billion cubic meters of gas and 1.4 million tons of condensate.
To note, the commercial operation of the field started in 2012.
Among Azerbaijan's natural gas fields, the Umid gas field ranks second in size. Located at a depth of 170 meters in the South Caspian Sea, it is situated off the coast of Azerbaijan, some 75 kilometers southeast of Baku.
