BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 11. The implementation of the Competition Code will enhance effective regulation across various sectors in Azerbaijan, said Deputy Minister of Economy Anar Akhundov at the first National Competitiveness Forum in Baku, Trend reports.
"Applying the Competition Code will expand opportunities for effective regulation in multiple sectors and markets. This will create a favorable business environment for entrepreneurs. Ensuring competition and increasing investment attractiveness will lead to new investments, which will significantly impact the creation of new production enterprises, job openings, and higher employment levels. The Competition Code includes a wide range of regulatory mechanisms aimed at supporting the development of small and medium-sized businesses and facilitating their market entry," Akhundov said.
The State Service for Antimonopoly Supervision and Consumer Market Control is involved in preparing and implementing state policy in antimonopoly policy, public procurement, technical regulation, standardization, metrology, and consumer protection. Its main mission is to foster free competition and protect entrepreneurship, ensuring the sustainable development of the country's economy.
