BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 13. The consumer price index (CPI) in Azerbaijan increased by 2.7 percent from January through July 2024 compared to the same period last year, Trend reports.
According to the State Statistics Committee of Azerbaijan, prices for non-food products rose by 1.7 percent, while paid services to the population increased by 4.3 percent.
In July 2024, the CPI rose by 0.9 percent compared to the previous month.

To note, the CPI in Azerbaijan rose by 8.8 percent in 2023 compared to the previous year. Food, beverages, and tobacco prices increased by 9.6 percent, non-food products by 8.4 percent, and paid services by 8.2 percent.
In December 2023, the CPI increased by 0.5 percent compared to the previous month and by 2.1 percent compared to December 2022.
