ASTANA, Kazakhstan, September 17. Kazakhstan is prepared to increase exports to Germany across 100 product categories, totaling $850 million, said President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev during a meeting with the leaders of Central Asia and the German Chancellor, Trend reports.

“Our priority is to boost trade by effectively implementing joint regional projects and expanding the range of goods,” he said.

Tokayev also emphasized energy cooperation as another key priority.

“As a reliable and major supplier of energy resources to Germany, Kazakhstan is ready to increase oil exports to the German market. We look forward to continued support from our German partners to ensure long-term and stable hydrocarbon supplies,” the president added.

Furthermore, to ensure sustainable progress for Central Asia and Germany, Tokayev stressed the importance of accelerating efforts toward transitioning to alternative energy sources.

“We are open to mutually beneficial cooperation in the development of hydrogen energy. Together with Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan, we are working on a project to build a green energy transmission line across the Caspian Sea and into Europe. We invite our German partners to consider participating in this strategic initiative,” Tokayev concluded.
