BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 27. Azerbaijani Finance Minister Samir Sharifov has clarified the issue of devaluation in the country, Trend reports.
According to information, the Finance Minister told reporters that while presenting the draft state budget for the next year to the Azerbaijani Parliament, calculations are based on the current exchange rate.
“The fact that there will be devaluation in our country is nothing more than gossip. I do not want to comment on this issue,” Sharifov emphasized.
To note, according to the report of the Ministry of Finance, in the macroeconomic forecasts presented by the Ministry of Economy, the manat-US dollar exchange rate for 2025-2028 is taken at the stable level of the current year. The forecasts indicate that in the medium term, the income of the population will grow to 112.5 billion manat ($66.1 billion) in 2028, while expenditures will grow to 107.9 billion manat ($63.4 billion).
