ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, September 30. Turkmenistan and Portugal discussed prospects for cooperation in the water resource management, Trend reports via the Turkmen Foreign Ministry.
The discussions took place during a meeting between Turkmen Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov and his Portuguese counterpart Paulo Rangel on the sidelines of the 79th session of the UN General Assembly.
The parties emphasized the importance of this area for their respective countries and expressed their readiness to develop joint projects in this field.
They also noted interest in collaboration in areas such as digitalization, science, culture, and education.
Concluding the meeting, the ministers discussed the possibility of participating in events held in Turkmenistan and Portugal, which would strengthen bilateral ties and expand cooperation prospects.
