BAKU, Azerbaijan, February 18. The Khizi-Absheron wind power plant (WPP) project in Azerbaijan is carried out in Absheron and Khizi districts, in a total area of 36 hectares, Trend reports.
This issue was discussed during the media tour to the Khizi-Absheron 240 MW WPP.
During the media tour, it was announced that the part consisting of 12 wind turbines with a total capacity of 78 MW will be located in Absheron district, and the 162 MW part consisting of 25 wind turbines will be located in Khizi district.
In Absheron, it is predicted to produce more than 300 million kilowatt-hours of electricity, and in Khizi, more than 600 million kilowatt-hours.
The efficiency of energy production in wind technology depends on the wind speed. Studies show that the average annual wind speed in Absheron is 9.35 meters per second, and in Khizi it is 9.63 m/s. This indicator is high enough for the efficient operation of the turbines and will ensure stability in the power generation of the plant.
