ASTANA, Kazakhstan, February 19. Kazakhstan and Jordan have tied the knot on significant agreements and memoranda, paving the way for bright new horizons in their future economic partnership, Trend reports.
Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev held talks with King Abdullah II bin Al-Hussein of Jordan in the Jordanian capital, Amman.
At the conclusion of the talks, President of Kazakhstan
Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and King Abdullah II bin Al-Hussein of the
Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan issued a joint statement. Additionally,
in the presence of the heads of state, the members of the official
delegations signed the following documents:
A Memorandum of Understanding on industrial cooperation between the
Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Government of the
Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan;
A Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation in the peaceful use of nuclear energy between the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Jordan Atomic Energy Commission;
A Memorandum of Understanding and Cooperation between the Ministry of National Economy of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Ministry of Industry, Trade, and Supply of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan;
An Agreement on cooperation between the National Company "Samruk-Kazyna" JSC and the Ministry of Investment of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan;
A Memorandum of Understanding and Cooperation between the Republican State Enterprise “Television and Radio Complex of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan” of the Presidential Affairs Department of the Republic of Kazakhstan and Jordan Radio and Television Corporation.
Furthermore, during President Tokayev's official visit to Jordan, 10 intergovernmental and commercial documents were signed.
To note, President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev is on an official visit to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. At Queen Alia International Airport, President Tokayev was greeted by Prince Ali bin Al-Hussein and Prime Minister of Jordan, Jaafar Hassan. Tokayev then proceeded to the Al-Husseini Palace, where he was welcomed by King Abdullah II bin Al-Hussein and Crown Prince Al-Hussein.
