Uzbekistan to build modern greenhouse complex in Tashkent region

A modern greenhouse complex for growing fruits and vegetables on the area of five hectares based on the experience of Dutch farmers is being created in Bukinsky district of Tashkent region in Uzbekistan, Trend reports with reference UzDaily News Agency.
The total cost of the project is $5.6 million, and the distinctive feature of the complex will be a new hydroponics technology, which is considered one of the most advanced in the industry. The products grown by hydroponic technology are recognized as environmentally friendly, the report said.
Technologists and agronomists from the Netherlands are participating in the construction and commissioning of the greenhouse farm. The design capacity of the greenhouse complex is 500 tons of products per year.
Following the construction, 40 people will be provided with permanent jobs.
The construction works began in March 2020, and the commissioning of the complex is scheduled for August.
