Uzbekistan to upgrade infrastructure of Fergana region's district

BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 5

The government of Uzbekistan will allocate101 billion soum ($9.9 million) for the development of infrastructure in Sokhsky district of Fergana region, Trend reports citing the press service of Sokhsky district’s administration.

Prime Minister Abdulla Aripov held a meeting at the Sokhsky district administration on June 3, 2020.

"Thus, the government will allocate 101 billion soum for 73 projects. As a result, a total of 4,500 jobs will be created, while commercial banks will provide soft loans to entrepreneurs and population," the message said.

During the meeting, the project on construction of a cement plant presented by a local entrepreneur was supported.

"It is also planned to create three recreation zones in Sokhsky district, and small industrial zones will be set up in the territories of six quarters. In addition, the district central hospital and rural medical points will be repaired and equipped with modern equipment. Another important problem of the district is drinking water, which the government will solve in the near future," the message said.
