Private construction enterprises completed 86.4 percent of the total volume of construction work in Baku from January through August 2020, Trend reports citing the State Statistical Committee of Azerbaijan.
According to the committee, 65.1 percent of the work performed by construction enterprises in the first seven months of 2020 accounted for construction, reconstruction, and expansion, 7.1 percent - for overhaul, 5.7 percent - for current repairs.
The share of remaining construction work made up 22.1 percent, added the committee.
In 2019, non-state construction companies completed 81.2 percent of the total volume of construction work in Baku. Meanwhile, 68.2 percent of the work performed by construction enterprises last year accounted for construction, reconstruction, and expansion work, 7.9 percent - for overhauls, 4.7 percent - for current repairs, 19.2 percent - for other types of construction work.
