The area of residential premises per capita will be 25.6 square meters by 2025 in Turkmenistan’s Lebap region, Trend reports with reference to Turkmenportal information portal.
By that time, a total of 262,400 square meters of housing will be built in the Lebap region.
It is planned to achieve this result by implementing a national program to improve the housing conditions of villages, towns, cities, and districts, the report says.
Meanwhile, 592 families moved into new homes in the administrative center of the Lebap region only this year.
Thus, private sector enterprises are increasingly involved in the construction of residential buildings.
Turkmenistan exceeded the estimates for production and provision of services in the construction sector by 16.1 percent from January through September 2020.
The Ministry of Construction and Architecture of Turkmenistan surpassed projections in the construction sector by 10.4 percent during the reporting period.
The Ministry of Industry and Construction of the country exceeded the plan for the provision of services by 3.7 percent, and the Ministry of Energy by 29.7 percent.
