Turkmenistan commissioned 56 large objects so far in 2021, with 14 more coming till the end of the year, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov said, Trend reports citing the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan.
The president made the remark at a meeting of the People's Council.
The head of state recalled that about 2,500 large projects worth more than $37 billion are currently under construction in the country.
“The construction of new large residential complexes in the capital, the administrative center of the Akhal region, as well as modern villages and settlements in various regions of the country is undergoing. By the 30th anniversary of the independence of our country, it was planned to commission 30 facilities. However, as a result of the inspired and tireless work, 56 large structures were commissioned from January through September and another 14 are planned to be completed by the end of the year, ”Berdimuhamedov said.
Some 509,000 square meters of housing were commissioned in Turkmenistan in 2021.
