Kazakhstan’s revenue from the transportation of cargo, luggage, and cargo luggage via road transport amounted to 151.3 billion tenge ($356.1 million) from January through September 2021, which is 19.3 percent more than during the same period of 2020, Trend reports with reference to Kazakhstan’s Statistics Committee.
Revenue from the transportation of cargo, luggage, and cargo luggage via road transport in September 2021 amounted to 20.6 billion tenge ($48.6 million), which is 23.3 percent more than during the same period of 2020.
The volume of cargo, luggage and cargo luggage transported via road transport during the reporting period amounted to 2.2 billion tons, which is 3.1 percent less compared to the same period of last year (308.1 million tons in September 2021, up by 1.2 percent year-on-year).
Cargo turnover amounted to 109.3 billion ton-kilometers which is 3.9 percent less than during the same period of last year (14.9 billion in September 2021, a decrease of 0.9 percent).
In turn, Kazakhstan’s revenue from passenger transportation amounted to 66.9 billion tenge ($157.5 million) over the reporting period of 2021, which is 37.2 percent more than during the same period of last year. September revenue from passenger transportation was 8.5 billion tenge ($20.1 million), which is 45.6 percent more compared to September 2020.
The number of transported passengers amounted to 4.9 billion people, which is 32.7 percent less than during the same period of last year (764.1 million passengers in September 2021, up by 2.4 times).
The passenger turnover amounted to 52.3 billion passenger kilometers which compared to the same period of last year is a decrease of 33.5 percent. The passenger turnover in September was 7.9 billion (2.1 times more year-on-year).
