Azerbaijan, Baku / Trend / IFC Advisory Services - The International Finance Corporation Azerbaijan Corporate Governance Project (ACGP) has selected another pilot company - ADA TICARET, a member of the ADA-Group of companies, under which Almali, a local supermarket chain operates in Azerbaijan.
The Project will assess the company's current practices, provide consultations on good governance, help align corporate documents with best practices, and assist in preparing transparent financial reports.
ADA-TICARET has been the Project client since the company's foundation. The Project has delivered two seminars and two workshops to the company and provided consultations on different issues, such as strategic planning, risk management and executive compensation.
Almali currently operates twenty stores in Baku and plans to open thirty more by the end of 2008
The ACGP announced its pilot program in October, 2005. ADA is the Project's sixth pilot company. Other pilots include Azerigazbank Open Joint Stock Company, AZEL Joint Stock Company, Davachi Broyler Open Joint Stock Company, Mugan Bank Open Joint Stock Company and AzerCreditbank Open Joint Stock Company.
