( Worldcarfans ) - The next generation Toyota Prius has been slightly delayed due to advanced battery technology so Toyota is going to put the Prius through a facelift in order to extend its life-cycle by another year or two. The Toyota Prius made its debut in Japan back in 1997 before going global in 2001 and is now in its third generation which was launched in 2004.
The freshening includes a new front fascia (new headlamps and grille) together with a new cut line in the hood.
